Josh decided during university to pursue a career in the space industry. After graduating from Concordia University in Canada with a major in mathematics, he went on to study the space field at the International Space University (ISU) in France. He then joined MDA Space in Canada in 2019, spending approximately seven years providing operational support for operations involving the Canadian robotic equipment (Canadarm2, Dextre, etc.) aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
At Space BD, he primarily handles safety reviews for the IVA-replaceable Small Payload Attach Structure (i-SEEP), and performs general engineering tasks related to space experiments and equipment onboard the ISS. Leveraging proven technical expertise and safety management insights gained at the forefront of space station operations, he aims to build an environment that enables grander space demonstration and utilization projects to be realized more easily and rapidly.
Looking to the future, he strives to develop highly convenient solutions that contribute to the development of lunar infrastructure.
